In the beautiful mountain town of Ettal, the young researchers of the SPP2451 ‘Engineered Living Materials with Adaptive Functions’, the Leibniz ScienceCampus on Living Therapeutic Materials and external applicants met for the ELM Spring School from April 27 to 30.
The PhD representatives of the SPP – Victoria Pinto, Robin Wilhelm, and Hannah Küttner – developed an exceptional scientific program featuring workshops and lectures by leading synthetic biologists, biomaterials developers, and deep-tech entrepreneurs. Further information on the program is available on the Spring School’s website.
Just as amazing was the fun bonding activities of German bowling (Kegelbahn), a brewery tour, and a captivating Jeopardy-style Pub Quiz led by Tom Seltmann.
One message resounded by the end of the enlightening 3 days – This tightly knit network of young scientists will be shaping the future of ELMs!
Thanks to everyone who joined and everyone who contributed to this school!
